Features:

 

U50 Imaging System features a user-friendly interface and a backlit control panel with hot keys that allow a one-touch activation of Pulse Wave Doppler, Color Doppler Flow and Power Doppler Imaging. Other imaging techniques, like Continuous Wave Doppler, and Spectral Doppler high-PRF provide system operation simplicity and acquisition of a sharp image. Multi-frequency Transducer technology enhances transducer functionality.

Speckle Reduction Technology

In ultrasound imaging diagnostics speckle noise becomes an obstacle to obtaining a clear picture. Edan has developed a system of complex filtering that allows to separate the noise regions from the diagnostic image. This way you get a true anatomic image and information vital for correct diagnostic.

Phase Inversion Harmonic Imaging

Harmonic signals are produced directly in the body and therefore are not being distorted by biological tissue. The phase-inversion harmonics cancel the fundamental components and uses harmonic signal to provide a higher frequency image with less clutter.

Spatial Compounding

The Spatial Compounding technology allows us to receive an image with reduced noise and enhanced contrast at the same time. While other technologies form an image only by transmitting ultrasonic waves directly away from the transducer, Spatial Compounding technology adds and combines additional images received by transmitting ultrasonic waves at an angle away from the transducer.

Multi-beam Technology

U50 produces multiple beams by adding same signals together with different delays. It is done to improve the image resolution without having to compromise on the frame-rate. With this technology the frame-rate can actually be improved along with resolution, instead of having to reduce one of the values.

Specifications and Design: The unit is assembled with a backlit high resolution LED display measuring 12.1”. An ergonomic lightweight design along with a built-in lithium battery, which allows 90 minutes of on-battery operation, exerts excellent mobility of the system that can also be hand carried. The U50 unit has two USB ports allowing image transfer. The large storage capacity of an integrated hard disk provides 256 frames cine loop memory and 504 MB for image storage.
